Jenny was introduced to the world of adventure racing in 1997, during her first year of college. Having no expectations she hopped onto a four person women’s team competing in a local event and by the end of the race was hungry for more adventures like it! Experiences as a runner, mountain biker, and figure skater virtually all her young life helped build a solid athletic and endurance background. It was through a university outdoor program and supportive mentorship that Jenny expanded her wilderness skills and deepened her interests in paddling, rock and ice climbing, and backpacking. She leaps at the opportunity to enter or do almost anything endurance. Drawn to quiet places, Jenny has lived on a small island off the coast of Maine where she paddled to work each day-rain, wind, cold, or fog. Presently she lives in the north country of New Hampshire and is out in the Whites as much as possible.
