Always active in her younger years and gravitating to a variety of sports and activities, Sara finally chose to persue crew. Using running to stay in shape for crew during her college years, she set her hopes on running and qualifying for the Boston Marathon. After her first marathon and Boston marathon endeavors , she was hooked but sidelined with numerous running injuries. Other hobbies included mountain biking and cycling for fitness, and swimming was used for rehab. The diversity in training regiments opened up a whole new world of racing, and so a triathlete at heart was born. Looking for the challenge and adventure of the unknown and the athletic diversity required in triathalons, she attempted the world of AR racing. Drawn in after her first race, she has been attempting to step it up as a triathlete and adventure racer . Although her schedule is described as “hectic”, she is motivated to share her passion for racing. Sara spends her free time volunteering for local track teams and finds time to help newbie triathletes get their start in the world of racing.
